Our Day at Red Rock Canyon, Nevada, USA

We wokes up to a gorgeous sunny day in Vegas.We started with a scrumptious brunch at da Lago Buffet @ Caesar's Palace. *YUMYUM* We went to "the King's Ransom" Elvis exhibit. Specduckular! I will tells ya more about dat some day....and den I was so excited! We was off to meets my facebook pals,Brummig and Brummi G bears and Sneefl, a cute lil sheep. Da came to Vegas all da way from dare home in Hamburg, Germany!!! Me and my humans from Canada and dem and dare kewl hum all mets at da Starbucks on the Strip. After some chatting we decided to go explore RED ROCK CANYON! I was sooo happy! Dem Brummig's was so kewl, like rockstars and Sneefl was just so sweet and cute.YIPPPEEE! We gots to spend a whole day together. Ain't dat kewl, folks?...
So, off we went to explore dis Mojave Desert just outside Vegas, like a half hr or less drive.We stopped first at Red Spring and walked along dat boardwalk. It was nice and real sunny but we never saws dat spring. It still be neato. We saws chipmunks and heard loud cicadas singing and birdies all around.Dare be lots of other wildlife in Red Rock Canyon area. Wildhorsies and burros, snakes, lizards, scorpions, coyotes & road runners!,tarantulas,desert tortoises, jackrabbits, bobcats, ringtail cats, mt lion and sheep and more! We did see's some weird looking tracks but dunno whats made them.hmmm... Den we jumped back in da car and stopped at da big Red Rock Canyon sign for our photo op...of course!! teehee!! Next we drove round da 13 Mile Scenic Drive stopping at da lookouts, etc...we see's lots and lots...Calico Hills, Sandstone Quarry,Turtlehead Peak and Red Rock, too. Dem Red Rock formations is known as Aztec Sandstone, its quite hard and makes up da cliffs thru out da Canyon.Gorgeous. We seen many rock climbers up on dem cliffs, too. A popular site for dat.Da gots two conservation wilderness areas, Rainbow Mt and La Madre Mt Wilderness. You can see's lots of kewl plant life like yucca's, cactus and Joshua tree's. Be careful getting your pic wid a cactus...teehee!! I knows! YEOW!!!In da spring dare be wildflowers too.We also saw petroglyphs, images carved or painted (pictographs) on da boulders and walls. Holy Moly dem is old!!!!Some is 1000's of yrs old. I is sad dat some do's graffiti on dem rocks too.Dat so dumb.Dis place is special and needs to be treated dat way.So lets all be okidoki and keeps dem stuffs safe so we can treasure dem for yrs to come :O)
It was such a pawesome day with my buddies. It is da first time for me to meets any of my online pals. Brummig N Brummi G and Sneefl are so kewl!!!!! Marley from Nova Scotia loved dem too and da gots to meet Rainbow too. He is my groovy sockmonkey pal from Oregon.We had oodles & oodles of fun. We even traded pins. I collect lapel pins and loves dem alot. I gots a funky Hamburg button from da Brummig's. If ya looks I wears it in lots of dem photos. I gave dem an Olympic one and Canada flag xoxo
WOOHOOO! What a SPECDUCKULAR memory we have to share.
