Bubbles First Interview Ever ... June 2010 Edition

Bubbles: Howdee Tat Bear! How is you doing?

Tat: Hello Bubbles! Fine, Thank you.

Bubbles: So how’s old is you now, Tat?

Tat: 7

Bubbles: OOH, Lucky #7!  Dats a very good year!

So, where was ya born?

Tat: St Ives, Cornwall UK

Bubbles: Tell’s me, how would ya describe yerself?

Tat: I am a 14” Brown Bear with beady eyes, and a good sense of humour.

Bubbles: Wad kinds of stuffs do ya like to do? Do ya collects anything?

Tat: I love adventure and any outdoor activity. I collect outfits, a Bear has to have the right outfits!

I also collect pin badges.

Bubbles: Wowzers! We gots oodles in common cuz I loves adventures, too! And I collect pins!!! Yippeeee! Heres a couple pins, Tat...one wid da Canadian flag and one with da coat of arms from da city I lives in, too.

Tat: Marvelous! I just happen to have one from Cornwell for you, too. *Trades pins*

Bubbles: HOLY MOLY CHEESE & MACARONI!!!! HUGS TAT!!! Thanks oodles. Dat is faberoo for my pin collection!...I has been wondering, how did you becomes such a famous bear? Besides da fact dat you is kewl and totally bubbalicious! Just saying.

Tat: HaHa! Well it all started when my owners brought me from the bear shop, and started to take me with them on the trips and places that they visited. They took snap shots of me at the place. Then one day I found a website called The Bear Club which was a blogging site for Teddy Bears. It was amazing for the first time us Bears could tell the world what we had been up to, it was on TBC I met other Bears like Jed Bramwell from Canada, Greg from Germany and Marlowe, to mention a few!

Bubbles: How exciting for you, Tat!! I knows what it like to be stuck in a store window waiting for an adventure. Hey, and I knows dem bears! They is pawesome. Greg Bear and Jed! We is going to meets dem in da fall time. So, wad all happened next for you’s?
Tat: Well as time went on we took better pictures and wrote better stories, we had challenges and competitions which us Tats did very well in, oh, I forgot to say I was joined by my brother Tat2 :)

Bubbles: Howdee Tat2! You is so nice da had to make ya twice.*giggles* I loves your photo’s Tat. Da is specduckular. Really brilliant! You sure has been lots of great places too! Your neck of da woods, dis Cornwall place sure looks purdy!

You really has been on a some kind of wonderfowl whirlwind adventure...

Tat: We sure have! This led us into a whole new world where we became known all over the world we made international news in the Guardian and Telegraph news papers. For our great photos and news reports from the Bearjing Olympics in 2008 where of course we won gold medals in our events.

Bubbles: Wowzers! So whatcha all doing now?

Tat: Things have gone from strength to strength for us last year we started a business called Bears on Location, which involves all the Bears who live with us. It is a photography based business about us bears pictured in Cornish landscapes and beyond, we go to many events selling our pictures meeting people and Bears and having fun, we now also sell Russ Bears and have a large selection to choose from.

Bubbles: Whoa, I see’s oodles of neato bears in your photos? Could ya tell me a widdle bit bout dem, please?

Tat: The other Bears are Master Jeremy, Edwin, Edgar, Alfie and Giles we sometimes have guest appearances from other bears too. You can read more about them on our website.

Bubbles: Ok! Great! Tat, I hears you have big news!

Is it true dat you has a book coming out soon?!!

Tat: Yes we are all so excited!! Over the last six months we have been working on our first Teddy Bear book, I have to say its been very hard work, having never done a book before its proved quite a task.

Bubbles : Oh my goodness. This is such wonderfowl news!

Can ya tells us what da book is about?

Tat: Well I can't tell you too much but the book is a Tale of how Alfie and Edwin find Treasure. Set in a small fishing village which is near where we live and features all of us bears from Bears on Location. The books are illustrated with pictures which are photographs turned into digital pen drawings. It turned out to be quite a challenge getting the right picture to complement the story.

Bubbles: What da title of da book ?

Tat: The Bears of Porthors Alfie Finds Treasure

Bubbles: Oh my, dat book sounds really exciting!!TREASURE! WOW!! Does ya thinks you is gonna writes more books?

Tat: Yes we have plans for four more books in this series which I hope will be a bit easier to put together. Paws crossed!

Bubbles: Aw shucks! Well Thank you, mate. *High fives da Tat-man!* But buddio, I justs gotta asks one more lil thingie, k? Wowzers, wad do it feels like now you is getting so famous!  Is da papabearrazzi following you’s all round?

Tat: Oh we are trying to keep our stuffing in but Tat 2 's head has got bigger *Bubbles giggles* and we are thinking of trading in our Bear Van for a fur covered limo and we are working on our pawograph’s but that's not easy.
Our dream is to be bear authors recognised the world over for our true bear stories!

News Update -

I gots da book I ordered!!!! Woohooo....Delivered to my door all da ways from Cornwall. Da first book to be sent to Canada. August 18, 2010. Its sooooo wonderfowl! I don't want to tell ya's da whole story cuz dat would ruins da fun...but I gives it a thumbs up! Well I would if I had a thumb!!! Teehee....Ok, so hows about 5 ***** outta 5!!!!! Darn-tooting! Its well written and da photos look like illustrations. Very well done. I gots a hard cover one, too. Here...check out some photos. Thanks Dale.
