Look's what I did at da Hyack Festival...

Every Victoria Day Long Weekend in New Westminster is da start of da super fun HYACKFEST. Carnival in Queen's Park, The Ancient and Honourable Hyack Anvil Battery Booms Out Da Salute! 21 Times!!!! and da following weekend is da Hyack Parade. WHEEEE!!!!

I wishes I remembered my ear plugs! BOOOOOM! Wowzers is dat loud! But I'm not sure dat I gots ears to put dem plugs in. LMBO!! Gunpowder is placed between dem two anvils and lit and its really noisy. The car alarms in da parking lot was all going off from da sound and vibration. Teehee.This special salute is done on Queen Victoria's BirdDay every year in New West. All da men in da battery is dressed in bright scarlet, one of dem lets me borrow dare hat. See above. Thanks :) I also gots to meet Mike McCardell, reporter for GlobalBC. He was so nice to meet and we gots our pic together, too.He is very kewl! I loves his stories. He writes books, too.

Da night before we wents to da park to see TrulyTina concert! She was SPECDUCKULAR!!! www.trulytina.com Samira sounds just like Tina Turner. I thinks it was da real Tina not matter whats some peeps said to me. She was soo birdyfull, funny and whoa! could she dance!!! We got to meet after da show and she came into da audience during da show and picked me up and sangs to me.*faints* So friggin' kewl!

Carnival in da park, checking out da antique fair, and a loverly sunny walk on da boardwalk by da river. Such a gr8 long weekend.

Oh ya, and Saturday night was da annual Melfa Dinner hosted by The Royal Westminster Regiment Asstn. I was very honoured duck to attend. The Hyack Festival is spread out over two back to back weekends...da next was da Parade!!!! Holy Moly Cheese and Macoroni! I sure had fun. You can checks out dem pics in da slideshow above. YIPPPEEE I met PIRATES!!!!! Dat my fave of da whole parade!!
